Martin Kaczmarski invited Prof. Tadeusz Więckowski for a ride in a rally car. Rector of Wrocław University of Technology was under huge impression: “Inside it’s like in a spaceship. It’s hard to describe!” – said Rector. A ride in the rally car, in which Martin Kaczmarski competed in the Dakar Rally, was one of the items offered for auction during the Wrocław University of Technology Rector’s Charity Ball. The driver of the Lotto team, apart from the winner of the auction, decided to invite also Prof. Więckowski to have a ride in the car. He wanted to show Rector how it feels to compete in a rally. “It’s unbelievable what the driver can do and what the car can do.” – said Rector just after leaving the Mini All4 Racing car – “It’s hard to describe. Inside it’s like in a spaceship – there are instruments everywhere, space is scarce, and you are held to the seat with airplane-type seatbelts.” Martin Kaczmarski lives in Wrocław. He is a member of the Lotto rally team and is also an ambassador of the Mini brand in Poland. At the same time, he studies logistics. In January 2014, he took part in the 36th edition of the Dakar rally, becoming the youngest participant in the history of this event. He took an impressive 9th place in general classification.
