Our student won a prize for her paper on nuclear energy

Natalia Jankowiak, a student of Wrocław University of Technology Faculty of Chemistry won first place in the “Atom for the Science” competition, in the area of radiobiology. The prize includes a visit at a nuclear power station in Sweden.
The competition was organized by the company PGE EJ1 that aims at fostering knowledge on nuclear energy and encourage students to gain interest in the nuclear power plant that is planned to be constructed in Poland.
The competitors could submit papers relating to nuclear energy in seven categories: economy, law, sociology, tourism, social communication, radiobiology, and physics. Altogether 101 papers were submitted to the competition jury.
Natalia Jankowiak turned out to be the best in the category of radiobiology. As a reward, she obtained 1000 PLN and the opportunity to visit a nuclear power plant in Sweden.
