A young music band from Lubań, playing music that combines indie rock and alternative pop, will be another star of the Livebox Session. We will hear them live on Radio Luz and the youtube channel of the Wrocław University of Technology Styk television, on Thursday starting from 8 PM.
Livebox Sessions are one-hour long concerts transmitted every Thursday by both Radio Luz and the Styk television. Students invite for the concerts talented but less recognized music bands that are making first steps in developing their careers.
This time we will hear and see a concert by the Modts. The band is composed of four boys from Lubań: Arek Machnicki (guitar, vocal), Radek Baranowski (guitar), Bartek Borycki (bass guitar), and Dawid Kurzawski (drum set). As they emphasize, they worked hard to surprise the audience with fresh pieces with modern sound. They don’t try to pigeonhole their music which they just call ‘guitar music’. The name refers to the mods subculture, popular in Great Britain in the 1960s.
