Symposium on quantum cryptography

The 5th International LFPPI Symposium “Progress in Quantum Cryptography ‘seQre 2014’” has started at Wrocław University of Technology. The list of invited guests includes world-famous specialists in quantum cryptography, as well as its inventors.
The list of guests includes e.g. Prof. Nicolas Gisin from University of Geneva, Prof. Artur Ekert from University of Oxford and Prof. Marek Kuś from Center for Theoretical Physics in Warsaw.
The conference agenda includes presentations by all global companies concerned with quantum cryptography, i.e. idQuantique (Switzerland), AIT (Austria), NTT (Japan), MagiQ (USA), Toshiba (Japan), Sequernet (France), CompSecur (Poland). Also, a training has been planned that will be organized by the National Laboratory of Quantum Technology (NLTK) at Wrocław University of Technology and the CompSecur company.
“The seQre 2014 symposium is a meeting of specialists in quantum IT, physics, computer science and representatives of the leading global companies implementing QKD (Quantum Key Distribution) – a new quantum cryptographic technology.” – says Prof. Lucjan Jacak. “It is also addressed to representatives of the banking sector and Polish administration that may be interested in developing IT security technologies.”
