This will be the second time that a sportsman and a scientist will jointly deliver a lecture at Wrocław University of Technology. The rally driver Michał Kościuszko will tell how a WRC rally car is built and Adam Sieradzki, DSc, from the Institute of Physics will explain the physical laws that act on it.
“Car rallying is a vivid, spectacular, and difficult sport. I admire drivers that decide to take part in it. What they do during the rallies is almost impossible from the viewpoint of physical laws. This is why we want explain to our students what happens with the car while driving flat out and what physical laws act on it. We have prepared a number of movie clips. The lecture will be interesting and surprising.” – announces Adam Sieradzki.
Zuzanna Hazubska, President of the Wrocław University of Technology Student Government emphasizes that the students were really eager to meet the famous rally driver. “A similar meeting was organized at AGH University of Science and Technology. Since then we have been swamped with questions when Kościuszko will come to Wrocław. For sure, there will be crowds at the meeting.” – adds Hazubska.
The meeting with Michał Kościuszko and Adam Sieradzki will start on Monday, 27th January at 3:30 PM at the Wrocław University of Technology Students Culture Zone. Admittance is free. The lecture is a part of the Red Bull “Ryzyk Fizyk” project.
