For the third time, the ALLIN Students of Chemistry Scientific Circle invites for the Wrocław Students Chemistry Symposium. The event will take place on Saturday, 14th December, in the A-3 building at Smoluchowskiego St. “We want students who carry out research, are interested in chemistry or related sciences, such as biotechnology and chemical engineering, to have an opportunity to talk about their activities. Each participant has 15 minutes for his or her presentation. We expect that the presentations will be of popular science-type so that they attract a wide audience.” – says Łukasz Bartnicki, ALLIN President. He adds that this form of activity is a good opportunity for the students to exercise public speaking. “It often turns out that many people do fantastic things but they can’t communicate this. We are not taught this kind of skill during studies. Only when we go for a conference and have to talk about our activities we learn how important it is to be able to speak publically and have a good contact with the audience.” The organizers expect that the symposium will be of interest not only for young chemistry enthusiasts from Wrocław University of Technology. “During the previous editions we had guests from the Jagiellonian University, as well as many representatives of the University of Wrocław. We strive to get as many students as possible interested in our event.” – emphasizes Bartnicki. All presentations will be made in the Faculty of Chemistry building (A-3) at Smoluchowskiego St. 23, in room 415, between 10 AM and 6 PM. Admission is free. Read more at www.allin.pwr.wroc.pl.
