“I hope there is a future Nobel prize winner among you.” – said Prof. Tadeusz Więckowski, Rector of Wrocław University of Technology during the inauguration of the Academy of Young Explorers (AMO).
Pupils from primary schools and junior high schools across the Dolnośląskie Province were nominated students of the Academy by the Rector and obtained their student’s books. The university authorities were also represented by Prof. Arkadiusz Wójs, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology, Krzysztof Burnecki, PhD, DSc, from the Faculty, Prof. Jan Misiewicz, Director of the Faculty’s Institute of Physics, and Anna Hajdusianek, PhD, AMO manager.
The ceremony was accompanied by a performance of the Wrocław University of Technology Big Band. One of the musicians, Paweł Scharoch, PhD, already met last week with the young students, when he was talking about sound.
