Crowds of students from various Wrocław universities had a lot of fun during the concert at the “Teki” dorm complex. There was good music for free, and no alcohol. They could hear the performances of “Indios Bravos”, “Atom”, and the night’s special guest, “Luxtorpeda”.

The concert at the “Teki” complex was held already for the fifth time. It is organized by the “Redemptor” University Chaplaincy Centre, the “Razem” Association Centre for University Youth, and the “Donum” Student Organization. The event started at 5 PM and lasted until 10 PM when the night quiet time starts. “The idea underlying the concert at ‘Teki’ is to start the academic year with a strong accent and to show, especially to the new students, that one can have fun in a cultural way.” - say the organizers. This time, the accent was indeed strong. One could hear, for example, the hard sounds of the punk rock “Luxtorpeda” band, with thousands of young people going berserk in front of the stage. You could see they came to the ‘Teki’ not by coincidence. Together with Robert Friedrich “Litza”, the leader of the band, they sang (although the word yelled would be more appropriate) the lyrics of “Wilki Dwa” (“Two Wolves”), “Pusta Studnia” (“Empty Well”), and “Autystyczny” (“Autistic”). Some of them were disappointed that “Luxtorpeda” didn’t play the radio hit “Mambałaga” from their latest record.

Who regrets, can listen to it now:

“We avoid commercialism.” - declare the organizers of the concert - “We are not supported by great companies, corporations or beer manufacturers. We organize everything on our own with the support of respectable institutions and goodwill people that appreciate our eagerness and enthusiasm.”

Before the concert, it was possible to donate blood. There was also an opportunity to talk with representatives of university chaplaincy centres about their activity and plans.

Wrocław University of Technology was a co-organizer of the event. Our university supports the idea of “Teki” concerts from the very beginning.
