On 1st October Leszek Możdżer, composer and jazz pianist, will perform at Wrocław University of Technology. His concert will be a part of the inauguration of the academic year 2014/2015.
Możdżer is a graduate of the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk and a laureate of the “Ad Astra” prize, awarded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, the “Fryderyk” prize of the Polish phonographic industry, and the “Polityka’s Passport”. Also, he has been awarded many prizes in music plebiscites and contests, e.g. by journals such as “Jazz Forum”, “Jazz Juniors”, “Jazz Melomani”, and “Jazzowe Oskary”.
Możdżer has issued 28 records to date. He is also an author of film and theater music. Music journalists emphasize that he very skilfully balances between jazz, yass, classical music, and a number of other genres, and even describe him as a “ramping, bravely improvising pianist, showing off with virtuosity.”
You can hear his performance on 1st October at 6 PM in the Main Building Aula. His concert will accompany the inauguration of the academic year.
