The Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg will honour Prof. Waldemar Rebizant

The Dean of the Wrocław University of Technology Faculty of Electrical Engineering will obtain the title of Doctor Honoris Causa from the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. The ceremony will be held on 4th October during the inauguration of the academic year at the Faculty.
“Conferring the title on Prof. Rebizant is not only a sign of recognition of his outstanding research achievements in the field of control in electrical power engineering but also of his merits for the development of the co-operation between the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and Wrocław University of Technology.” – says Leszek Pawlaczyk, PhD, Vice-Dean for Student Affairs at the Faculty.
Prof. Waldemar Rebizant was a co-author and supervisor of the joint Master’s studies programme, the graduates of which received a double diploma: of the Wrocław University of Technology Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the University Magdeburg Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. He was also a member of the committee for diploma exams, as well as delivered lectures in Magdeburg (in German and English), and was a PhD thesis reviewer at University Magdeburg.
Prof. Jens Strackeljan, Rector of University Magdeburg, Prof. Andreas Lindemann, Dean of the University Magdeburg Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, as well as representatives of University of Stuttgart and IFF Fraunhoffer Institute in Magdeburg, confirmed their presence at the ceremony.
