Academic staff, doctoral students and graduates
of doctoral studies from the last 12 months may apply for financing of their
international internships at universities and companies. Until 15th September, applications can be filed for the Foundation for Polish Science’s
SKILLS-PRAXIS programme.
Internships
funded as part of the PRAXIS programme are to help their participants develop their qualifications in the fields of research management, research team management, interdisciplinary co-operation, commercialization of research results, and entrepreneurship. The programme does not encompass research work travels.
Admission
is carried out continually but the applications are assessed once a quarter.
The closest term is 15th September, and the following terms are: 15th December, 15th March, and 30th May. The internships may be performed in any country encompassed by the Marie Curie Actions (details here). They can last up to 6 months. During the internship, the participant obtains: a lump-sum maintenance benefit (the amount depends on the country where internship is to take place, with a base amount of 1 555 EUR), a monthly travel benefit (600 EUR for each complete 30 days of stay), a refund of expenses (only in the case of research units), and up to 650 EUR monthly for expenses related to the securing of a proper workplace (so-called bench fee).
