For the last two years, she has been President
of the Wrocław University of Technology Student Government. Now, she wants to
act on behalf of students but on a much larger scale. Zuzanna Hazubska
candidates for President of the Student Parliament of the Republic of Poland.
“I am a
member of the Student Council, so I know how the national level structures
work. At this level, you can do really a lot.” – says the Wrocław University of
Technology student. She decided to run for the office after many consultations.
“I asked for advice people that I would like to cooperate with in the future. I
am aware this is not really a self-contained function, it requires groupwork in
a good team.”
Hazubska
emphasizes that she has been engaged in social activity for a long time: from
the beginning of her studies, she was active in the Student Government, and
working on behalf of the student society has become her hobby. She is currently
finishing her political programme that she would like to implement if she was elected.
“Apart from plans relating to areas traditionally associated with the activity
of student governments, an important part of the programme is dedicated to
student entrepreneurship. I am very much into changing the proportions we
observe today: universities should educate more employers, and not only
employees. Time spent at university is the best opportunity to take first steps
in business and learn how it all works. Student organizations and scientific
circles should be hotbeds for future business leaders.”
Zuzanna Hazubska’s election campaign has already started. “I
would like to invite to my website www.hazubska.pl, I am willing to contact everyone
interested. I would like to meet representatives of all universities in Poland.
Thanks to the work I’ve been doing so far, I know the everyday problems that students
are facing. Now is the time to learn more about the expectations of the Student
Parliament of the Republic of Poland and to verify my ideas.”
On the Wrocław University of Technology Student Government’s facebook profile
we can read: “We congratulate on her decision and by supporting her candidature
we want to express our gratitude for all she has done for our University
students during the passing term of office.”
The
election will be held in November, during the official session of the Student
Parliament of the Republic of Poland.
