In September, 72 junior high school and 76 high
school students will start classes at the Wrocław University of Technology’s Academic
Schools Complex. The schools employ over 30 teachers and offer renovated and
specially adapted studios, lecture rooms, laboratories, and office cubicles.
Solemn
inauguration of the school year 2014/2015, the first one in the history of
Wrocław University of Technology, will start at 10 AM in the Main Building Aula
(A-1 building, Wybrzeże Wyspiańskiego 27). The inauguration lecture entitled “I
think, I experience, I feel. On science in a different way” will be delivered
by Monika Małek, PhD, from the Wrocław University of Technology Department of
Humanities and Social Sciences.
At 11 AM,
in the C-13 building which is the seat of the Academic Schools Complex, two new
labs will be officially opened. Leszek Czarnecki, DSc, graduate of Wrocław
University of Technology and President of Getin Noble Bank will open the Laboratory
of Basics of Robotics with Elements of Programming, while Bartosz Ciepluch, Director
of the Nokia’s European Centre for Programming and Engineering in Wrocław, will
open the Laboratory of Robotics and Design of Electronic Circuits.
The meeting
of students with form masters is scheduled on 11:30 AM.
