At Wrocław University of Technology we do really cool things - say the organizers of the 18th Student Activity Days. On Thursday, in the C-13 building (“the cheese house”) students will demonstrate what they do in the scientific circles, cultural sections and university mass-media. - Over 50 organizations will attend the event – says Sylwester Oracz from the MANUS Foundation. – We want our students to learn about the achievements of one another and to demonstrate what they do after classes – he adds. So, there will be an opportunity to talk with the designers of the Mars rover or the zero-emission car. Also, there will be a presentation of the Wrocław University of Technology Orchestra and the rowing eight. Students from the KoNaR scientific circle will demonstrate the skills of their robots and young people from the “Pijawka” (“Leech”) organization will encourage to donate blood. - As part of the Student Activity Day we organized various trainings, e.g.: how to sign contracts, how to raise funds outside of the university or how to promote oneself successfully. And we mean real knowledge and guidelines, not just the theory. Students will learn, for example, that putting up posters is not at all the best way of advertizing an event – says Oracz. The organizers also invite for the accompanying event – the university Sports Day. - On 15th October, also in the C-13 building, one will be able to train a little and do some exercises during the break between classes – says the representative of the MANUS Foundation. – In this way, we want to encourage students to be active also in the physical sense. The Student Activity Day is organized biannually (in Spring and in Autumn) by the MANUS Foundation and the Wrocław University of Technology Student Government. On Thursday, 10th October, the event will be held in the C-13 building from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Admittance is free. Iwona Szajner, translation: Dariusz Więcławski
