Paweł Nużka and Jan Szajda, this year’s
graduates of Wrocław University of Technology, are the laureates of the
“Telecom Seeds for the Future” competition, organized by the Huawei company.
They are
both graduates of the Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology. For the
competition, they prepared projects concerned with computer security and
cryptography. Paweł Nużka presented
an innovative authentication techniques using mobile devices. Jan Szajda is an author of a
cryptographic scheme for carrying out electronic secret voting. Their projects
were developed under the supervision of Prof. Mirosław Kutyłowski and Łukasz
Krzywiecki, DSc.
The award
ceremony was held on 17th July at the seat of the Ministry of
Administration and Digitization. The prizes were handed by Minister Rafał
Trzaskowski and Owen Ou, Managing Director of Huawei Polska.
The
laureates were invited to participate in technology workshops on innovative
solutions for the ICT market that will be organized in Shenzhen, at Huawei
headquarters.
