Wrocław University of
Technology will start cooperating with the Romualdo del Bianco Foundation and
its "Life Beyond Tourism" International Institute. On 7th July Prof.
Tadeusz Więckowski, Rector of our University, signed in Florence an agreement
regarding the cooperation.
Thanks to the
cooperation, our students - mainly from the Faculty of Architecture and the
Faculty of Civil Engineering - will have an opportunity to take part in
international workshops and lectures concerning the protection and preservation
of historic landmarks, as well as to learn the culture of other countries by
carrying out projects in international teams.
As part of the
agreement, the two parties undertook to implement the rules of sustainable
development, promote tourism as a means to gain knowledge, support respecting
cultural diversity, as well as develop cultural and research dialogue between
Wrocław and Florence.
The
www.lifebeyondtourism.org website will be one of the means of achieving these
