On Monday, Rector and Vice-rectors Petersburg State Transport University will pay a visit Wrocław University of Technology. The delegation includes: Alexander Y. Panichev – Rector, Lyudmila S. Blazhko – Vice-rector for Educational Work and Igor P. Kiselev – Vice-rector for Culture. Petersburg State Transport University was established in St. Petersburg on 28 January 1724 with a decree of Tsar Peter the Great. For 200 years it has been educating railway engineers and since the very beginning it was considered a prestigious university. Its graduates hold posts in state institutions governing the railways, as well as in international companies that design and manufacture trains. At Wrocław University of Technology, the delegation will meet Prof. Eugeniusz Rusiński, Vice-rector for Research and Co-operation with the Economy. They will talk about the possibilities of co-operation between the universities. The guests will also visit laboratories of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, as well as the centre of Wrocław.
