The Scientific Circle of Vehicles and Mobile Robots at Wrocław University of Technology needs specialists in electronics who will involve in the work on Light Electric Motorcycle (LME). The students are preparing for the Smart Moto Challenge competition in Barcelona.
“There is very little time left, until 15th June we have to submit a ready project.” – says Radosław Czahajda from the Scientific Circle of Vehicles and Mobile Robots – “To encourage candidates I will add that we already have some achievements under our belt, e.g. first place in the category of technological innovation in a competition organized by the “Focus” magazine. We were quite successful also in the previous edition of the Barcelona contest. Moreover, this can be a great topic for one’s MA thesis. I believe we will find someone. After all, this is a technical university!”
The students are looking for colleagues that can design their own electronic circuits and know the specifics of signal transmission in control electronics and bluetooth communication. “So far one person has answered to our appeal but he is not a specialist in an area that we need most urgently.” – says Czahajda.
The challenges that await the specialists include:
• reception of data from the electric motor controller and from the battery – charging level, I, U, and the current total absorption;
• transmission of the received data in a manageable form to a mobile phone with the use of bluetooth interface;
• optionally – enhancing the system with an energy recuperation module.
